Packaging
You don’t last five decades in the wool export business without learning a thing or two about packaging. Everything we put around wool needs to be tough, durable and ready to withstand the rigours of international shipping. That’s why we specialise in manufacturing high-density steel TP bands for securing and bundling wool bales. Our bands are designed to go the distance without giving a millimetre, offering security, stability and reassurance to local wool exporters.
They’re in high demand by recyclers at home too, coming in handy for all manner of strapping, tightening and compacting.
Repairs
One of the best ways we practice sustainability is to make sure our wool packs not only last the distance but also have a life beyond our use for them.
So when our packs need refurbishing, we get it done to the highest standards and sell them to local farms for waste reduction and all sorts of handy jobs. And when they really do reach the end of the road as a wool pack, they are repurposed yet again in home gardens as durable waste bags.
That’s quite a journey, and an outstanding example of sustainability too.
Export
Exporting is all about productivity and efficiency and we use cutting edge technology to achieve both.
Our high density press allows us to apply 700 tons of pressure for ultra-compressed bales of wool and a significantly increased payload per container shipped.
It helps our exporters maximise every square millimetre of a container. That means they also enjoy reduced costs, streamlined operations and, thanks to our durable wool packs and specially made steel bands, full confidence in their wool arriving at its destination in excellent condition.
